The House of Dreams Orphanage Bowl-a-thon Fundraiser

For those of you who have been keeping up with Angie’s blog you know one of my hobbies is bowling (yes there is bowling in Bolivia). As a church we even have our own bowling team; several members of our church participate. While I was bowling the other day the workers at the bowling alley mentioned a city wide championship that they were hosting for 13th, 20th and 27th of November. After thinking about it I have decided to enter into the championship. Being the missionary that I am I wanted to use the opportunity to raise funds for our orphanage project.

Would you be interested in pledging a certain amount based upon how well I do in the city wide bowling championship? Here is how it works.

1) I will bowl the following Tuesdays

2) Each day I will bowl three games (a total of 9 games during the tournament)

3) You can sponsor me in the following ways

a. You can sponsor an amount per point for the entire tournament. For example if you pledge 25 cents per point and I bowl a 155 per game for the 9 games then you would donate $348.75 for the tournament.

b. You can sponsor me for $10 a strike for the entire tournament. So in the tournament if I bowl 10 strikes you will donate $100.
c. You can sponsor me for $5 a spare for the entire tournament. So if I bowl 20 spares then you would donate $100.
d. You can sponsor me for points, strikes and spares for the entire tournament. This will be the highest commitment.
e. You can choose to pledge $1 a point for only the highest score of the 9 games. That way if I bowl a 155 you will pay $155.

4) Just to help you choose my average is around 155 in a given game.

I believe that this will be a good opportunity to raise funds for our orphanage project in a fun way. If you are interested in being a part of this bowl-a-thon you can contact me at houseofdreamsorphanage@juno.com .

Also I am planning to post the scores that I have each week on my blog so you can see how I am doing.

God bless and I am looking forward to hearing from you,
DaRonn
